Privacy Policy

Punji Bandhu is an app that shows you what the stocks you already own are worth today. This policy explains, in plain language, exactly what the app does and does not do with information. It applies to the Punji Bandhu Android application.

Information we do not collect

We do not collect, request, or store any of the following:

• Your name, email address, phone number, or postal address
• Any account or login credentials — the app has no sign-up and no login
• Your PAN, demat account number, broker details, or bank details
• Device identifiers, advertising IDs, or any other persistent identifier
• Your location
• Your contacts, photos, files, camera, or microphone
• Usage analytics, behavioural data, or crash reports containing personal data

The app contains no analytics software development kits, no advertising networks, and no third-party tracking libraries.

Information stored on your phone

The stocks you add and the number of shares you hold are saved in the app's own private storage on your device. This information stays on your phone. It is not uploaded to us, it is not backed up to our servers, and we have no way of reading it.

Uninstalling the app permanently deletes this information from your phone. There is nothing for us to delete on our side, because we never received it.

What is sent over the internet

To show current prices, the app asks our price server for the price of each stock symbol you have added. That request contains only the stock symbols — for example RELIANCE or TCS.

It does not contain:

• how many shares you hold
• what your holdings are worth
• your name or any contact details
• any identifier for you, your phone, or your installation of the app

Two people who hold the same stocks send us requests that are identical. We cannot tell them apart, and we cannot link a request to a person. Our price server does not keep access logs recording which symbols were requested, and we do not build profiles, sessions, or histories from these requests.

As with any internet connection, your device's IP address is necessarily visible to the server in order for it to send a reply. We do not record it, associate it with the requested symbols, or use it to identify you.

Sharing with others

We do not sell, rent, trade, or share any information with anyone. We do not transfer data to advertisers, data brokers, or analytics providers. Because we do not collect personal data in the first place, there is nothing to share.

Children

Punji Bandhu is intended for adults managing their own investments. It is not directed at children, and it does not knowingly collect information from anyone, of any age.

Your rights

Indian data protection law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, gives you rights to access, correct, and erase your personal data. Because Punji Bandhu does not collect or store any personal data about you, there is nothing for us to hold, correct, or erase. Your holdings are entirely under your control on your own device, and you can delete them at any time by removing them in the app or uninstalling it.

Security

All communication between the app and our price server uses encrypted HTTPS connections. The app does not permit unencrypted network traffic.

About the prices

Prices shown in the app are for information only. They are not investment advice, a recommendation, or an offer to buy or sell any security. Prices may be delayed and may differ from the figures shown by your broker. Always confirm with your broker before acting on anything you see in the app. Punji Bandhu is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the NSE, the BSE, SEBI, or any stockbroker.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update this page and change the effective date at the top. If a future version of the app ever collects information that this policy says it does not, we will say so here clearly and in advance.
